Several years ago I began an experiment making paper using herbs I inherited from the pharmacy of a gifted healer. Starting with the same pulp, I added a different herb to each batch, and the results intrigued me. The papers reflected the qualities of the herbs included - texture, color, and intensity were different from plant to plant. 

The Oakmother catalog reflects my lifelong interest in the special relationship we have with plants. Herbs have healing medicinal properties, but they have long been used spiritually as well. Both uses are reflected in the papers of intent. Like medicinal preparations, these papers are created as simples (papers with single herbs) or formulas (papers with herbs chosen to reflect a particular purpose, such as abundance or protection). They are created in sacred space, while focusing on the purpose of the herbs.
